Around the house	Yea!  Daddy says this when he wants to walk me around our house.  Lots of great smells!
Back	Command to walk backwards.
Ball	My most favorite toy ever!  I love tennis balls, red rubber balls, and now I even got an orange football!  Dad says get the ball and I retrieve it for him!
Boat	I haven't figured out if I like it or not.  Dad takes me out on the water and sometimes I get real HOT.  He tries to get me swimming, but I'm kinda scared.
Bone	Luv my bones!  I got big ones, real ones, rubber ones, all over the house!  Sometimes Dad puts peanut butter in the ends and WOW!
Brush my teeth	In the morning time, Daddy tells me this when he goes into the room with the water and will be back in 5 minutes. I lay on my bed and wait for him.
Car	This is a new command Dad it teaching me when we go for a walk.  When a car comes down the road, he says “car” and I go to the side of the road and sit, until he tells me “ok.”
Cat	I go CRAZY when Daddy tells me a cat is around!  Woof!
Cheese!	This is a super treat that only my Mommy shares with me!  It is our special time!
Come	Daddy says COME and I'm supposed to go running up to him!  I get distracted, especially when we are outside!  But I'm getting better.
Cookie	Yum!  It's a doggie snack!   I get lots of them every day!
Cross	When we are out walking, Dad says “cross” so I will go to the other side of the street.
Daddy	Daddy is my most favorite human in the whole world!  I follow him everywhere he goes!  He even lets me sleep in his bedroom every night!
Deer	I want to chase deer sooo bad, but Daddy doesn't let me!  Once I ran after deer in the Lost River State Park in West VA!  Daddy was so worried!  But I came right back...
Dinner	I get dinner every morning and afternoon!  It is the best!  Sometimes, if I eat all my dinner, Mommy gives me some turkey dogs too!
Dog	I know what that is!  Woof!   When I hear Daddy say “dog,” I look around for another woofer.
Down	Another thing that daddy makes me do a million times a day!
Drop it	Another obedience command!  Dad has me practice this one right after I find really cool, smelly stuff.
Find	Fun game!  Daddy hides three of my favorite cookies around the house and I get to find them!   Woof Woof!
Get Busy	Daddy asks me to go “poop!”  'nuff said!
Go Potty	I pee when Daddy says “go potty.”
Good Boy!	I hear this all the time!  Daddy is always saying “good boy, Hemi!”   Guess that's when I'm doing something good!
Heel	Something new I'm being taught to do.  I think I'm supposed to walk on my Daddy's left side.  I kind of get it, but not always!
Hemi	That's my name!!!  My Daddy even put my name on the side of his truck!
High Five	A fun trick I do!  Dad always has me show this trick to all the humans I meet!
Ice	When that big silver box in the kitchen makes noises, I go running and get rewarded with ice cubes!  I luv them in the hot weather!
Jerky	Ok, ok, my absolute favorite treat!  Chicken jerky!  If I eat all my dinner, Dad will give me a special treat of jerky!
Kennel up	Dad says to “kennel up” when he wants me to get into the truck!  He lets me ride in the back seat and opens to rear window so I can look out!
Leave it	Another obedience command!  Dad has me practice this on walks, when I see a cat I want to chase or if I find a dead animal I want to roll on.
Little Snacks	These are my special treats that my Mommy gives me when I'm good!
Look	An obedience thing that Dad asks me to do all the time.   If I look at him I usually get a liver treat!  On walks I try to look at him all the time so I can get lots of treats!
Mommy	Mommy lives with me and Daddy.  She leaves the house all day, but comes home after dark.  She loves to give me ice or little snacks, or maybe CHEESE!
Night night	Time to go to bed!  Now that I'm a big dog, Daddy and Mommy lets me sleep in their bed!  Sometimes it's cooler to sleep on the floor though!
Night night Cookie	For as long as I can remember, my Dad gave me a special cookie when I go night night!
No	I used to hear this a lot when I was a puppy, whenever I made a boo boo, but I'm a good dog now!  Maybe when I find a sock, I get the triple, “NO,” 'LEAVE IT,” and “DROP IT.”  Woof!
Off	I hear this when I get too excited and accidentally jump up on humans.  I try to control myself, but I get sooo excited!
Ok	My release word!  After a long sit/stay, Dad says it's “ok” and I can move again!
Outside	Outside, Outside!  Dad asked me if I want to go outside to go potty or to talk a walk!
Paw	When I hear “paw” I give Dad one of my paws.  Usually this is when he has to clean mud off them.
Rain	I'm not a big fan of rain. I hate getting wet, BUT I do like going back into the house, cuz Dad drys me off with a towel!
School	Twice a week, Dad lets me go to Doggie Day Care!  He just has to say “school” and I get sooo excited!  That means I get to go see all my doggie friends!  I have a special girl doggie friend too!  Woof!  Woof!
Shake	Another fun trick!  Dad has me practice this trick 20 times a day!  I usually get a treat!
Sit	This was the very first thing that Dad every taught me when I was a little puppy!  We still practice this one every day!
Smell	Dad has me smell treats before he hides them.  This is when we play the “Find” game!
Sniff	Dad says this when he gives me permission to read my pee mail when we are on walks!
Snow	I remember this word from last winter!  We sure had a lot of that white stuff!  I love to jump in it and slide in it, and Dad throws snowballs into the air and I try to catch them!  Woof!
Stay	Dad says this is one of the most important obedience commands I will learn.  The other is “come.”  He wants to keep me safe, so I try to stay for as long as he asks, but sometimes...
Take a shower	In the morning time, Daddy tells me this when he goes into the room with the water and will be back in 20 minutes. I lay on my bed and wait for him.
Towel	See “Rain.”  Sometimes Dad forgets to get the towel and I stay there by the front door until he remembers.   He always laughs when he sees me waiting for the towel!  I get rubbed all over!  Dad lets me play a short game of tug!
Treat	I luv hearing Dad ask me if I want a treat!
Truck	Daddy takes me lots of cool places, like the dump!  Great smelly place!  All he has to say is “truck” and I get excited!  Luv the truck!  I even have my name on the side!
Wait	Dad taught me this command so I will patiently wait for him at different times, like when he needs to lock the door.
Walk	I love walking with Dad!  We get to go twice a day!  In the mornings I practice loose leash walking and in the evening I get to read all my pee mail!
